Galzu Urban Research & Public Policy Foundation ("Galzu", "the Foundation", "we", or "us"), publisher of Galzu Urban Policy & Tech Review (galzu.org), is committed to ensuring the privacy, integrity, and statutory protection of personal data in strict alignment with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
2. Scope of Data Collection
We maintain an absolute policy of data minimization:
- Server Telemetry: Standard HTTP server logs record IP addresses, user agent strings, and request timestamps solely for security monitoring, intrusion detection, and load balancing.
- Voluntary Inquiries: Contact and grievance forms collect only submitted names, institutional affiliations, phone numbers, and email addresses.
- Newsletter Registrations: Email addresses provided voluntarily for the bi-weekly research digest.
3. Lawful Processing Purposes
Collected data is processed exclusively to:
- Distribute requested technical monographs and policy updates.
- Investigate editorial grievances under Rule 3(2) of the IT Rules, 2021.
- Maintain server resilience, firewall protection, and cryptographic data integrity.
- Comply with lawful subpoenas or statutory requests issued by Indian judicial authorities.
4. Non-Monetization Assurance
Galzu Urban Research & Public Policy Foundation does not sell, rent, commercialize, or share reader data with commercial data brokers or advertising syndicates under any circumstances.
5. Rights of Data Principals
Under the DPDP Act 2023, readers have enforceable statutory rights:
- Right to Summary & Rectification: Request an audit of stored personal details and rectify outdated records.
- Right to Erasure: Request permanent deletion of contact information from active databases.
- Right to Revoke Consent: Unsubscribe from research digests at any time via automated links.
